How bookings work

Forest Dog Tours is a small, home-based service with limited places, allowing us to provide calm, individual care. Our prices reflect the time, responsibility and personal attention each dog receives, including tailored walks and a safe home environment. We keep everything transparent so you always know what is included.

To keep things calm, safe and personal, all new dogs begin with a short introductory assessment. This helps us understand your dog’s temperament, routines and any support they may need. It also ensures that we are a good fit before confirming a boarding stay.

Once you are ready to book, we will confirm the dates, collection and drop-off arrangements, and any specific care notes. Places are limited due to our small-capacity, home-based approach, so we recommend booking in advance wherever possible.

Prices, travel and key dates

Our full prices are listed below, including walking, boarding, sitting and optional extended care. Prices are effective from 1 March 2026.

Travel is charged at £0.80 per mile for the round trip from our base to your collection and/or drop-off address. This helps cover our EV running costs.

To cover availability and scheduling on key dates, a £25 surcharge applies per booking on Christmas Day (25 December) and New Year’s Day (1 January). This applies to walks, in-home sitting and boarding handovers taking place on either date.

For longer boarding stays, all new bookings of 7 or more consecutive nights receive 10% off the boarding fees. Travel and extended-care charges are not included in the discount.

Any booking already confirmed under our previous “book 7 nights and pay for 6” offer will retain the discount agreed at the time of booking.
